GirlTip #8: Hostage Apologies

From 6th-11th grade, one of my best friends never apologized to me. She held me hostage with her silence: I knew I had to say "sorry" or else lose the friendship.Withholding apology was her power play; she sent the message that she didn’t care what happened to our friendship. Think about it: Is that a friend worth keeping around? Apologies are the responsibility of both friends. No one is wrong all the time.
